Some of us had absent, angry, or abusive fathers, while others are still waiting for that phone call or apology that never comes. Yet Scripture reveals something transformative—earthly fathers matter, but they are not ultimate. The sermon walks us through five defining characteristics of our perfect Father: He made us, knit together in our mother's womb with intentional purpose; He provides for us, knowing our needs before we even ask; He corrects us, not to hurt but to protect us from walking off dangerous cliffs; He protects us with His presence through every storm; and most beautifully, He welcomes us home.
