Sep 20, 2026 - Four Keys to Unlocking Greater Favor

Pr. Daniel Enriquez

What does it look like to live in the fullness of God's blessing rather than beneath it? Proverbs 3:1-10 lays out a stunning vision of a life marked by favor, peace, healing, and abundance, but it does not hand these things over without condition. Woven throughout those ten verses is a pattern we cannot ignore: command and promise, command and promise, command and promise. The passage gives us four practical keys to unlocking greater favor, and together they form a portrait of what it means to walk closely with God. We are called to remember His Word, not as a passive mental exercise but as an active refusal to disregard what He has said. We are called to trust Him with all our heart, leaning not on our own understanding in a world that has given us every reason to be skeptical and guarded. We are called to fear Him, not with the paralyzing dread that drove Adam to hide in the garden, but with the reverent awe that keeps us turning away from evil. And we are called to honor Him with our wealth, surrendering the last thing most of us are truly willing to give over to His lordship. Each of these is more than a religious obligation. Each is a doorway into a life that looks like the overflow described in verse 10, barns filled with plenty and vats running over with new wine. That is the God we serve, not a God of bare minimums, but a God of abundance.
