Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...
Matthew 28:19

The Philippines
Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City
TRIP INFORMATION:
PLACE: The city is called Baguio City in the Philippines. It is about a 6 hour drive from Manila (the capital city). We are
partnering with Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) which is an Assemblies of God World Mission organization.
They will provide lodging, meals, and transportation. We might get a chance to partner with some of their students
as we minister. These students come from over 20 nations and are preparing for full-time ministry.
DURATION: The trip will be 7 - 9 days, depending on certain circumstances.
DATE: JUNE 1 - 9. This is a tentative date but we are taking into consideration students getting out of school late in May,
the rainy seasons of the area that may make the mission trip impossible, and late summer, when it’s hotter and
students are preparing to go back to school. An exact date will be finalized as time goes on.
COST: $3000. This is all inclusive with the exception of personal spending money (EX: souvenirs, snacks, etc.). As with any
trip, the cost can vary but from past experiences, this should be your total. NOTE: consider having $100 or more for
personal spending.
It is the responsibility of all team members to raise their own funds. During the months leading up to the trip, we will
have monthly meetings. During these meetings we will discuss topics such as fundraising. We will provide you the
tools to be successful in this endeavor!
The church can also help provide a letter stating that you have been accepted on this trip as it is an official church
sponsored trip. Many people would like to know this because their gift to you can be a tax deductible donation.
The church will provide a time table to make sure everyone is on task with fundraising (EX: 10% must be in by
November, 30% must be raised by February, etc.)
MISSION: some of the opportunities are: preaching, orphanage ministry, prison visit, Praise and Worship music, teaching,
personal evangelism, outreach, feeding the homeless, and kids ministry. Because APTS has such a highly respected
name in the community, many doors will open for us. Much of the ministry opportunities will depend on who goes on
the trip (and their talents) and if certain opportunities are prepared to receive us.
NOTE: While the Philippines have their own languages and dialects, English is used as an official language and is
considered the language of choice for higher education, business, and media.
NEXT STEP: Prayerfully consider going on this trip. Once you decide, fill out the application. Once the applications are received,
they will be reviewed. NOTE: there are limited slots for this trip. Please do not be discouraged if you are not able to
join us this year.
To help keep pace with the financial obligations of this trip, here is an easy way to breakdown the cost into weekly increments. This is only used as a guide but by week 16, we should have enough to purchase plane tickets. Press the button below to view the chart.
